NAIDOC BASKETBALL CARNIVAL

The 2025 NAIDOC Basketball Carnival was delivered in partnership by Binar Futures and Basketball WA, with the support of Basketball WA’s Aboriginal Council.

The event engaged 686 unique participants, with 72.4% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander — demonstrating strong Indigenous participation and community reach.

The carnival served as both a community gathering and a celebration of basketball and First Nations culture. While designed primarily as a meeting place for Aboriginal communities, it also welcomed individuals from all backgrounds, contributing to broader goals of cultural recognition, inclusion, and reconciliation.
